  Self is an online magazine that specialises predominantly for women in areas such as health, beauty and style. Although it is not a current affairs magazine, the styles of their front covers, particularly this one starring just Taraji P. Henson, is very similar to the simplistic, minimal style I want to make my Women in the Workplace edition. They seem to be in a studio setting, and the sole focus is on the model, and what she is representing in this edition: the topics are stated in the cover line, "Mental Health, Menopause, and the Myth of the 'Strong Black Woman'.

  My Ideal Audience Member is someone who: shares ideas and sets an agenda is attuned to global trends passionate about social change aspirational and dedicated to diverse causes such as racial equality, feminism, the environment, etc. perhaps are vegetarian or vegan, or they care about animal welfare. their fashion might be edgy, including graphic tees, Dr Martens/Vans, with ripped jeans/funky trousers - anything that does not quite conform to social norms. has an eclectic music taste, from screamo to classical, so a lot of different things and topics capture their interest. My magazine will attract my perfect audience member, as my topics will be relevant; they will engage on changes across various fields, such as veganism, feminism/sexism. The Leading Edge tribes include younger generations such as Generation Z, and perhaps some Millennials, as typically, these are the people who are protesting and are on the front lines of fighting inequality.
